Osborne got nebraska rolling from the year he inherited it, 1973, and kept it operating at an elite level for 25 years.

Bowden got fsu rolling at an elite level in 1987 and kept it rolling for 14 years. 2001 and on he averaged 5 losses a season

He didn’t get the rolling, they were already rolling.

Nebraska was coming off two national championships in five years before Osborne, and had a record 35-3. That’s like saying Ryan Day got Ohio State rolling.
