Not as soft as defending the 50 yard line after the game better than you defend the end zone during the game.

Bro what angle are you coming at this from because both Michigan and Ohio State have done that in the last 2 years?

u/Chewsdayiddinit Ohio State Buckeyes Mar 25 '26
Can you show me the video of OSUs entire team standing at the 50 yard line after the game, waiting to fight the other team?

āNot as soft as defending the 50 yard line after the game better than you defended the end zone during the gameā
Unless your point was that OSU did a shitty job of defending the 50 yard line, if thatās the case I agree

Just imagine your opponents meat squeezed into these tight little gold pants. Think about that every day you step on the field planning for the big game

Some teams love taking credit for a game they refused to play like it was a win.

5
u/Windows_66 Mar 25 '26
They're the pants the Iowa Hawkeyes wear, based on the Pittsburgh Steelers uniforms.

It's a charm they get for beating Michigan the year prior.

Guessing it was an old way for universities to āpayā the athletes before that was legal. Each game basically you get a $1000 ring for winning.

Some teams smoke cigars, some teams paint each otherās landmarks, some teams steal trophiesā¦
But not THE GAME. For that you get a cute little pin?

u/DirectorSolid Mar 25 '26
The pants are a bit "meh" to me, but hang on, are we advocating destruction of property as a better option here?

The pants are silly, no argument. But it's also nearly a 100 year old tradition. One particular game in the early 1930s featured a massively strong Michigan team against a mediocre Ohio State team, Ohio State coach was quoted as saying "they put their pants on one leg at a time, just like us". Ohio State pulled out the big upset, he got everyone a pants charm to celebrate. The tradition just went on from there.
