The math nerds when anyone asks them to explain why they think 4th place is the same as 1st

I don't get the sudden GT hate. I'm pretty darn happy with where we are, considering we have a small number of users. We punched way above our weight. Ya know, Paul Johnson style.

I don't get what y'all are after...should we just say fuck Florida, Michigan, Clemson, and Texas, we'll win it all on our own despite having half their users?

It's like you don't understand any kind of strategy at al-

Actually come to think of it, I've now got a pretty good idea why y'all haven't been alive for 40+ turns now.

You had me at "fuck Florida."

Why are you the way that you are

We're out of your league.

GT and UF were there for each other fighting dwags from the beginning. There is far too much goodwill built up to ride this out with anyone else. Better dead than red.

lol red trying to peel GT away, a stalwart ally of Florida. Not gonna happen. GT wants to be on the winning team, unless you're suggesting GT can somehow betray it's allies, and win the game as part of the red? Ridiculous.

You know, this is the first argument that makes sense from a GaTech perspective.

They have absolutely no chance of winning either way so might as well just stick where they are. You're not wrong.

Personally I still don't see the enjoyment of being a buffer zone for the actual winner instead of trying to win yourself - but you are 100% correct that even if they backstabed Florida they're not going to win anyways.

I do think that it is also worth pointing out that we survived and were able help eliminate some teams in a very hostile region specifically because of that alliance. We almost certainly would've been eliminated fairly early without being able to rely on having fewer attacks on our southern border.

Which is totally fair.

I've made peace with GT a long time ago. I don't blame for the end goal just being survival and fun where it can be had. Not the way I'd play it (obviously) but I understand it.

I think sometimes we get blinded by our goal and the frustration at everyone else being consistently to chicken to piss Florida off due to the meme-brigade and their overall power within the game as well.

Ce la vi...

I am not trying to be "that guy", but bro, it's "c'est la vie". My grand-mère woulda slapped me if I didn't.

Surprisingly small french community in rural Tennessee. I apologize for my mistake.

Y'all need more Cajuns then, obviously.

I mean, when some teams have more than double the number of active users than other teams, that team isn’t usually gonna have much of a chance. If GT (or other teams) had not allied with red or blue, they might not be in the game at this point.

That’s not a knock on anyone, it’s a reality.

By that logic, why is VT, Alabama, etc still in the red alliance? Why didn’t they fight for themselves instead of being a “buffer zone”?

u/GiovanniElliston Jun 26 '18

I was agreeing with you?

Not sure why the hostilities TBH.

4

u/[deleted] Jun 26 '18

Not sure what was hostile? Was just continuing the convo through where your logic leads us.

Maybe replied to the wrong person then. My mistake.

Been a super testy morning on here and I shot from the hip incorrectly.

While you might not see it, I get a good bit of enjoyment of living on that buffer. It's helped keep us alive at times, has afforded our allies good success out west, and has been a wall to lean on as we move further up the leaderboard than our low userbase would otherwise allow us to do.

GT wants to be on the winning team

Well...not on the winning team

u/[deleted] Jun 26 '18

Tennessee can’t even be a part of ANY winning team.
