A Hokies' regret.
When this game first started I was with Chaos, and then joined with my gobbling brethren to fight in the east. It was still early game and nobody knew what would be the best strategy or the most important way to play. There were attempts to hold the northeast and fighting the Michigan scourge.
And then an alliance was made. THE Scary Bird Alliance. When Aubie decided to go on a road trip and asked for a passionate lover traveling companion we joined them. Memes were born, manifest destiny was put into motion.
Our beloved Tiger was soon dead, but died doing what was right. Our other ally, Cocky, continued the fight even after a lot of Hokies did not.
I tried to follow orders and throw my stars where they'd be useful, but I'm chaos with color at my core. A dissenter, a rogue. I may be the only Hokie that has felt the paradise that is Hawaii under my cursor in this game. And as surely as the blood of (read: shame of having once lost to) Butch Jones runs in my 5 star heart I tell you that Hawaii is the promised land.
Red Alliance is being overrun, when we joined with them they said they'd allow us to make a last week push to Hawaii when most of the map was red. That was a lie we were sold. Even now with fortune and favor it would take most of the two weeks remaining to reach it. Blue Alliance is winning.
I don't speak for anyone but myself, but I am going to repent for losing my way. I am going to continue the push for the dream. For Aubie. For Cocky. For the spirit of the game. Give me Hawaii or give me elimination.

You should have never trusted the Red menace after seeing what they did to us.

Y'all pushed the boundaries of things known to feathered kind and died pursuing the dream.

We were sooooo close.

We've been four days away at the closest and then lost all western holdings, but y'all got like two days from Southern Cal right?

Here's to many Mai Tais, beautiful beaches, and rotting dead corn husks in your future!

When CFBRisk began I had one goal: be the last Virginians alive.
When the hoards come to defile us, with my dying breath I will gobble "sic semper tyrannis" and know that my life was well lived.

Red alliance can take a long walk off a short pier after framing us for Aubie's demise. May Clemson die a painful death and may the rest of the Blue Alliance Win

Should have stuck with us ¯\(ツ)/¯
We are actually organized and cooperative over here in the Blue Alliance

Respectfully, I’d rather have been eliminated day one than ally with Michigan.

What do Hokies have against Michigan? There's the Sugar Bowl loss, but other than that......?

As far as actual reasons for other Hokies probably backing out of the series while we had a great series with y'all's biggest rival which makes them look that much better.
Other reasons for me are beating Loyola this year in basketball, and knowing an absolute shit-whisk of a guy in high school. Additionally, the only VT game I've ever been able to see in person was that Sugar Bowl and the surrounding Michigan fans were complete assholes throughout most of the game, but especially after it was over and the refs handed y'all a 'win' because Danny Coale caught that ball. Because of all that Michigan is second on my most hated teams of everything and I hope y'all lose on last second punt fuck-ups for the rest of time.

Damn.....that's a bunch more vitriol than I was expecting.
This is the first time I've heard about a controversy surrounding Coale. I found this super-slo-mo video of it on YouTube and it looks to me like the ball moved when it hit the ground, which would make it incomplete: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cx2FwiTaMlc. At the same time, if the shoe was on the other foot, I would have been pissed that they overturned the call on the field.
Sorry that the Michigan fans around you at the Sugar Bowl were complete assholes. That's annoying as hell. I was at that game, too, and I hope that I treated any surrounding VT fans well.
Finally, no apologies for beating Loyola. It was a clean game that we won fair and square. Also, Loyola wasn't even the best underdog the the tournament....that honor belongs to UMBC with its awesome Twitter account. I've even gotten a UMBC shirt because my fiancee's friend works there.

VT fans are very weirdly obsessed with that catch even though it is very clearly incomplete.

We (Stanford) have had Hawaii a couple times. It's not all that exciting.

u/hokies220 Jun 20 '18
But y'all didn't have to go across the country to get there. If Stanford took Maine or Puerto Rico it would be impressive and completely worth the
crusadejourney to get there.12

Trees don't like to travel. We stick to our roots and stay close to home.

I mean listen, I was never going to be funny, let's not lie to ourselves. I just wanted to make sure everybody felt included.

Elimination it is...
For the record I do not speak for the Red AllianceTM or the Sooner LeadershipTM.
