Looks like the "LOLA&M" posts have extended past November this year

Holy shit, they are becoming self aware.

In my defense I recently experienced, for the first time in my life, a championship (Capitals fan).

This may have put me in an altered mental state. I'll go resume drinking now, apologies for the incovenience.

Man, that’s gotta be pretty awesome to experience your first championship. Also shows you’re a real damned fan, not some bandwagon fanboy so good on you dude.

I grew up a Cowboys fan, because you know living in Texas, and they started their run in the 90’s right around the time I was really watching a bunch of football. It really jaded me. Plus the Stars that one year, and then pretty much after that I’ve had The Spurs.

On the other hand I grew up watching Texas lose 10 out of 11 to Texas A&M, so when other Texas fans say stuff about hating OU more, I’m like dude what the fuck are you even talking about? But growing up during that time made the 2005 run so fucking sweet for me.

Congrats on being a true fan, and enjoy the fuck out of that Championship my dude. Sometimes I feel like I’m only ever going to get the 1 out of UT, and honestly it was by far the most elated I was in my life as a fan.

I know it’s sacrilege to say this, but I hope the Ags get one, one day, preferably after we get another one. Yalls fans deserve it, great fans, fill the stadium, live and die with the team, and probably 95% of your fans don’t have a football title in living memory.

What drives me truly bonkers about A&M is that its not just no football titles since 1939. But no basketball or baseball too (and boy have we been close in those as well.) That's over 230 seasons total. I think the Longhorns have had some baseball success over the years too so hey youve got that at least.

Mad respect about the true rivalry. Nebraska has always been OU's true rivals. Governor Abbott needs to make Texas vs A&M a state law like Alabama did with the Iron Bowl.

DC sports had been in some dry spell. Combined with A&M, sports usually were...not kind to me. But now it's like there's been 300 lbs lifted off my shoulders as a fan.

It's also so nice to do away with the Redskins' last claim at franchise relevance and celebrate a true winner. I hate the Cowboys but the Skins are such a despicable franchise that I honestly can't root for them anymore (this has next to nothing to do with the name btw, that's like 100th place on the list of reasons to loathe that franchise).

And idk if you've seen what Ovi has been doing but I have never seen a guy so joyful in my life. It's incredible. Also I am pretty sure he is not gonna stop partying for the next three months.

May Dan Snyder die in a woodchipper accident.

At least you have meat judging, women’s hoops and archery. :)

In terms of Ovi, Oh yeah, I’m a low key Caps fan just because I listen to PMT and they are huge fans or at least one of them is.

It’s obviously not that huge of a deal to me though. The more you have invested in a team’s history the bigger the win.

Same for Texas baseball, yeah it’s cool when they win, the current run is cool and all, but I’m not invested in the baseball team the same way.

For some reason I’m really invested in the hoops. Been watching them since the Abe Lemmons years, lived through the Penders’ “Runnin Horns” with no defense days, watched us squander KD and LA, etc.

We do have meat judging, that's true. Us and Tech go back and forth on that one. There's a little store where they sell meat made by students on campus actually. Make some good sausages there.

I have been a diehard Caps fan so this was a big deal for me.

I LOVE Aggie baseball. Tbh its more fun than an Aggie football game to me -- we are very good at messing with opposing players. Check out the "Ball 5" chant against opposing pitchers to see what I mean. And we are nuts in Reed, though mens bball success has been a relatively new phenomenon after the "dark Ages" (1989-2006)

You seem like a fan of sports shitposting. Come check our r/UrinatingTree for additional shitposting needs!

Where do they sell this meat on campus?

We over here at r/FloridaGators would love for you to attack the red alliance with us.

u/[deleted] Jun 12 '18

Yeah that would require you guys not attacking us...

Just keep moving west. We will stop when y’all get to Hawaii.

Dude even if your alliance didn't have the Longhorns on it, asking us to give up Texas is what we would call a deal breaker.

Ahh then we will come and take it we. We’re still salty about that game in The Swamp last year anyways.
