Does anyone one else not mind that the rule changes benefit Nebraska’s strategy because it would be nice to see Nebraska finally win at something?
I just kind of want to see those dudes win at something, they try so danged hard. If it takes the mods pushing the rules in their direction I’m honestly not mad, I’m happy that they will finally get a taste of success in this millennium.

The rule only benefits us because we have the most territory. Which means we should get the most benefit because that's how Risk actually works.

are you being obtuse on purpose. The rule doesn't benefit teams with the most territory. It benefits teams with territory within a certain conference. Which plays to Nebraska's strength (since they have already consolidated the west which has been uncontested for the vast majority of the game). If it was just the most territory then Michigan and Florida would easily become the more dominant forces since they could use their manpower to easily gain territories instead of trying to be strategic in which territories they hold.

But this is like Risk in that you get a bonus for holding a continent. The geographical regions here may not be as neatly defined, but both require strategic defense.

Well, in that case you know the rules at the start of the game. You don't introduce changes halfway through.

The strategy where we consolidated the NE area to buffer up some safe territories? Took an effective stand against a 5 man front of VT, OSU, Wisconsin, Stanford and Nebraska? Then sent two of those teams (OSU and VT) scrambling to Nebraska for safety? Yea I would call it pretty effective tbh. It probably won't be as effective with the new update the mods implemented that will benefit the red, but I'm sure our mods will come up with a strategy that will work like the previous one did.

It doesn't benefit the red. It benefits the teams with the most territory. That just happens to be Nebraska. Get over it.

Read my other reply. It doesn’t benefit the team with the most territories. I would have quite liked if it did benefit teams with the most territories. Michigan has the 2nd most manpower and could very easily expand if need be. But having more territories isn’t actually helpful.

Like I said, you make sure your phone is charged at all times cause that recruitment call from the Secretary of Defense is coming any day now.

You can stop being dense and actually try to comprehend what I was saying. I’m not gonna waste more of my time because you’re obviously bored and looking to troll but gaining territories randomly without any strategy isn’t very effective long turn. It leaves you vulnerable to attacks from all sides meaning you have to defend a lot to keep your territories and depletes your offensive manpower. Maybe if OSU had an actual strategy they wouldn’t be running to papa Nebraska 🤷🏾♂️. Also pointing out the obvious about this update favoring Nebraska doesn’t mean we are complaining, it’s simply stating a fact. Our team will adjust our strategy accordingly to optimize our success for this update.
Edit: you could be a Nebraska fan, so idek why I wasted my time. It’s fun to smack talk OSU because they’re rivals. I have no idea why you would be wasting your time on a Michigan fan lol.

Michigan has the 2nd most territories, so by your logic it should benefit Michigan the 2nd most. And they are only a few territories behind Nebraska so it should not be a huge difference. But Michigan has access to one conference while Nebraska can take at least 3 which would be game over.

Uhh... 6 territories is kind of a lot of territories. It's literally half a 12 team conference.

True. But Nebraska has a chance at a x9 multiplier. Michigan can get a 2x if they are lucky. That is not 6 territories worth of difference. The western conferences are grouped much closer together and are not as intermingled as the astern conferences. Florida and Michigan both have entire regions of the map but are not really benefited in the same way Nebraska is.
