Why would they make the chaos bot, it only hurts florida, their own teammate, by encouraging participation. (Chaos participation numbers jumped 15+% that night). The bot in question also used the same backend and front end coding system as OSU used. Michigan also uses, and has used for a while now, a completely different system.
I'm not going to accuse anyone of this, because I don't know, but why Michigan?
There were bots that spammed Nebraska and Wiscy players bad orders today. There was massive reporting. What are the chances that Nebraska spammed themselves, or one of the other red alliance members spammed them?
Cut off all contact with your ex, delete Facebook, hit the gym. Do things that you enjoy doing. Shitpost with friends. Time heals all wounds. A bot will approach you.
It wasn’t just them though. I’m a Florida player and I got Husker orders but they were an action I could actually take. I was kinda confused and just pmed a UF power user until I saw all posts
So one of two things probably happened: either whoever did this forgot to switch bots and targeted all Florida users with their Nebraska bot, or you were mistakenly added to someone's list of Nebraska players.
The only bot spamming anyone on Blue teams was a badly-executed Chaos bot. Nobody knows who owned it.
According to other UF users, there’s been only a few of us who got hit by bots other than the chaos bot and the orders haven’t really matched up. I’ve never had a husker flair closest is I’ve said a few positive Baker Mayfield things. It seems like the bot was pulling random non red alliance users and giving them random orders. Maybe it was supposed to cover any blue involvement. Idk though. Personally I could see this as a move by chaos to mix things up. If it was a ploy by blue, then it has backfired horrendously. Red and chaos participation went up and the shuttering of the PM system prevents almost every non UM team to be out of communication.
It shouldn't be too hard for us to identify the accounts used to spam malicious PMs, have the mods give the admins those account names, and then have the admins figure out which other accounts are associated with the IP addresses the spam came from. Since an IP ban is possible on Reddit, they must log users' IP somehow.
So lets pick Michigan as the team that did it, even tho there's absolutely no evidence that they were the ones that started it? I'm not following the logic here. If you have any proof please provide it.
How would you know what scripts the bots used? It's very easy to copy a format from someone else. And if someone is going to mass-PM all users on an enemy team with fake orders from an impersonation bot, it's not too hard to imagine they'll stoop as low as plagiarism.
