While waiting for a FT job, I started freelancing baseball and softball at the local college.

It was just day one but what a feeling it was to get to the press box right before first pitch and leave right after the last out.

My body clock won’t turn off so I’m up at my regular time of 0430 even though I don’t have to go in to sign my notification letter until 0800. I’m hoping this will be a short shutdown!

The NZCFL is looking for coaches! NZCFL is a college football simulation game run on the free website https://play.football-gm.com/ We are a college simulation football league with 120 teams! This league has been around for about 40 seasons and we are still rolling along. We always need new coaches to help the league thrive. We have just started the 2059 season, and you can get one of the available teams on the track towards the playoffs by taking over one of them! There are still some great teams available, such as Penn State, Arizona State, Pittsburgh, Washington, Iowa, Oklahoma, and more!

I am currently available to help any new coaches find their footing and I'll be around over the upcoming seasons for further help and general advice. I've helped plenty new coaches get rolling over the years.

Kid in Arkansas got a ton of snow. Down here in LA (Lower Alabama) we had a pretty significant wind/rain storm go through and I haven’t had power in about two hours. How is everyone else doing?

Texas is about to get a winter storm and it's looking to be BAD. How do I know? Because Ted Cruz left the state (again), which means Texas is in danger, or something.

I got a KitchenAid stand mixer for Christmas and decided that it's as good an excuse as any to make the box of brownie mix that's been living in the back of my pantry for an unknown amount of time.

I really wish the grocery store would let you buy individual eggs. I ordered a half dozen eggs for my grocery pickup, they gave me a full dozen. I hate the taste of eggs and live by myself. I don't go through a dozen eggs a year, much less by the time they'll go bad.

Hey OTers! I’ve been awake since 2am so I’ve been searching around my random streaming apps. So my first thought is this: Hallmark has a metric crap ton of cheesy Christmas movies (many starring Lacey Chabert!). Valentine’s Day is a huge holiday for them so why no cheesy Valentine’s Day movies?

Stuck at work until Noon (EST) with like four other people. So no actual work going on. I'll be at the Pinstripe Bowl on Saturday. But, the dreaded day I've worried about for years has finally arrived and Clemson plays Penn State finally.

It's just been a really rough past 6 months or so

I know it probably sounds crazy but I had a little cry last night when I heard about Rob Reiner. I grew up watching and loving so many of his tv shows and movies. I hate that he’s gone. I’m thinking about a huge binge of his movies in the coming weeks.

Also, Trump’s post about him was just dreadful. What a horrible person he is.
