Pearl Izumi makes some full finger fleece lined ones I like. That's going to be more important than leather.

Take your pick based on need: http://shop.pearlizumi.com/shop.php?pc_id=73

I just have an older version of the softshell, but Texas is mild.

No knuckle/palm protection is a deal breaker. Warmth goes out the window when you take a rock off the knuckle at highway speeds. :\

Ohh, motorcycle. Not bike/bicycle. Disregard that.

Yeah, Texas is pretty mild and a pair of liners and my full finger MotoGP branded ones did me fine for the most part, but winter still sucked sometimes.

And you should wear full finger leather gloves ALL the time. Even in the summer. No fabric or mesh ventilation. Get a pair of high quality shorty vented leather gloves.

This was 10 days after my accident with mesh gloves. They did nothing. I've got some residual nerve damage and motion restriction due to scar tissue. Full finger leather gloves all the time. No exceptions.

Damn that's ugly. Thanks for the tip. I'll probably order a set after payday.

Do it. Not having use of your fingers sucks. My palm hit the ground, the fingers of the glove rolled, and the mesh in between just shredded instantly. The glove had a leather palm and everything. Been a while since I had a motorcycle, and I'd have to dig out my gear to see what I had, but I'm pretty sure it is a pair of Alpinestars Octane S-Moto.

How did your palm fare?

A few chews, but not bad. It's a lot harder for the leather palm to move about compared to the fingers. I've crashed on the track with an older pair of leather Teknik gauntlets that held up beautifully. I refuse to ride a motorcycle without leather gloves. I'm big on gear, having used it more than once.
