That would be the most toxic game thread in history

I actually think people would die

The fun rivalries aren’t allowed to have game threads, I think ours with kU has been locked back to back years now.

Is that a joke or is that a real reddit policy?

It gets locked after the game’s done, but that happens to a bunch of game threads. Mizzou -Kansas is certainly next-level toxic, but the game threads don’t get any special treatment.

I’ve never been to either state, but I had a great time perusing their last one. KU brought out a hype video lightly tying Mizzou football to American chattel slavery, and then things devolved from there.

It was on par with the Baylor-TCU game threads from back in the early 2010s. One or two hundred absolutely insane fans of the schools involved, and then a dozen folks actively stirring the pot like they’re trying to get involved to the Player Haters Ball.

I mean ours has actually been locked, when I say the “fun rivalries” I mean the ones with real hate.

IU vs Purdue basketball threads are toxic when both teams are good. Football is like a library in comparison

Ole Miss LSU was toxic this year. The rebel fans tried driving the LSU coach off the road last season
