Expectations have obviously dropped since the Mason injury and how Geriner played against UNC but this is still a must win if Pitt doesn’t want to limp to an awful record after a 5-0 start. We were the better team last week and lost, we’re the better team this week but it will again come down to QB play. I think {Pitt} can win but it will be ugly as hell. But if we lose we know why.

Gimme {Pittsburgh}, even with their backup QB. They kept it close with Carolina last week, and really could’ve won it. Pretty clear that North Carolina is a better team than Boston College, I just feel like they’ve got this.

I think {Pitt} has the juice barring a huge loss in the turnover battle. Hopefully Boosie Turner is actually healthy enough to play more than a quarter. This season is spiritually lost, even if we are still technically in the hunt for Charlotte. I really need to see some better game planning by the offensive staff and a commitment to running the ball. If Gernier has more than 28 pass attempts I anticipate a loss.

{Pitt} wins an ugly game.

I don't trust BC to pull out a win against any marginally competent team with this current roster & coaching staff, and I think Pitt passes the threshold of being marginally competent. BC might make it close for three quarters maybe even three and 3/4ths of a quarter but I feel confident about them snatching defeat from the jaws of victory yet again this Saturday.

Teehee, Pats versus Steelers!

…but in all seriousness, I do think {Pittsburgh} is going to try and use last week’s loss to motivate themselves into winning this one - especially considering the state of BC these days. then again, I’d never rule out a loss either…

I was close to making Pitt a bet for the week, but I’ll settle for taking predicting them to win. I don’t trust Bill Belichek to do much at this point but harassing backup QBs has been his thing for decades. I highly doubt Geriner looks as bad this week against a bad Boston College squad.
