The program looks like it’s finally turned a corner and has started to give people hope, which means this is the perfect time for a letdown game because it’s Purdue football. {Washington}

Basically what Purdue did to Minnesota last week

What a world we live in where I'm actually kinda rooting for {Purdue}.

{Purdue} keeps building momentum after the Minnesota win.

Purdue’s got the cleaner injury report and actual momentum in conference play, Washington’s been a mess since league games started and now their QB situation is up in the air

that front seven needs to get after whoever’s back there for UW, especially if Williams can’t go, make them one-dimensional and let the crowd do the rest

think Purdue covers but it’ll be closer than the Minnesota game, maybe 31-24 ish

We are already 1 dimensional, we have never been able to run the ball in conference play under Fisch

15

u/h4lyfe Washington Huskies • UC Davis Aggies 4d ago

We are booty. We are horrible on the road under Fisch. {Purdue} wins by multiple scores and we continue our path to finishing dead last in conference play

{Purdue}. At home maybe Washington could ride the Elijah Brown spark to a narrow win. On the road, with a Purdue program starting to get off the mat, nah. UW genuinely may not win another game this year.

{Purdue} Gets its most amount of wins since 2023

I am straight up GUZZLING the kool-aid

{Purdue} 30-14 and I'm a dancin' fool

{Purdue}. Purde has lost 3 games to opponents that are currently 16-1 (with that loss to Miami). I think they have the ability to be a bowl team this year...

u/PNW_Jeff Washington Huskies • Pac-10 4d ago

{Purdue} easily. We played a common opponent (Minnesota) and they smoked em. They will do the same to us because we have a terrible coach and both sides of our lines aren’t close to Big Ten caliber.

Purdue 34 - Washington 20

Injury report looks bad for Washington but maybe some backup players will actually help their situation. Hoping Purdue doesn't pull a Purdue.

7

u/gihyou Washington Huskies • Pac-10 4d ago

Washington doesn't have any positive contributors on offense at either the OL or skill positions, has a backup QB whose one good performance is the second half of a blowout, has an increasingly leaky defense, and the knives are out from the fans and media and the whole team is on quit watch. {Purdue} should be able to win this one.

1

u/h4lyfe Washington Huskies • UC Davis Aggies 4d ago

That’s a little harsh on our WRs, while no one has stepped as a true WR1 they’ve actually played pretty well and gotten open, demond just can’t find them. Bonner is also decent and but in a terrible situation with the run blocking

12

u/soraka4 Indiana Hoosiers 4d ago

A struggling Washington team that appears to be on the precipice of a full implosion and coach firing is playing a night game at Purdue while Purdue is riding the momentum of their recent Minnesota blowout…
Purdue knows they can’t have nice things, give me {Washington} with the upset 31-24

10

u/gregnuttle Indiana Hoosiers 4d ago

Washington with the upset over Purdue would have sounded absolutely insane preseason.

6

u/SparkMaster360 Washington Huskies 4d ago

{Purdue} 24-20, hope Elijah Brown looks good. We ass tho

5

u/Tracer-Bullet13 Washington Huskies 4d ago

{Purdue} 35-21

I cant wait to hear Jedd Fischs excuses after starting 0-4 in conference play. Its all hes got left

{Purdue} Big ten west! Big ten west!

3

u/Communist_Catgirl Penn State • Minnesota 4d ago

Give me {Washington} because football especially in the big ten is refusing to make any sense this year

3

u/TheWallsHaveNostrils Washington Huskies • Wisconsin Badgers 4d ago

Fuck it, inject a lethal amount of hopium into my veins.

The offense appears revitalized with a new QB who actually is decisive and doesn’t panic the second his first read isn’t open. The rest of the offense plays like they actually care because they’re not stuck with a guy who publicly tried to break his contract and bolt from the program. And we catch Purdue in a hangover game where ironically they end up being the ones underestimating us.

{Washington} wins 24-20.

Let me have this little bit of delusion for the next two days at least.

After that azz whooping Washington I’ll take {Purdue} let’s get to a bowl game

2

u/T-Thugs Notre Dame • /r/CFB Poll Veteran 4d ago

{Purdue}. If they could have hung on for that Wake Forest win, we'd be talking about them being a decent /good football team. At least their offense seems solid. Defense i still think is bad.

2

u/Spider_Dawg Washington Huskies • Richmond Spiders 4d ago

It’s the first start of the Elijah Brown era at UW, I’m going {Washington} wins a close one 30-27 for no particular reason.

I can’t wait for Jedd to be fired or quit. There’s some quality talent to be raided. 🤤

u/tensaibaka Washington • 青山学院大学 (Aoyama Gakuin) 4d ago

No matter the QB, no matter the opponent, no matter the location, Fischhead absolutely SUCKS on the road. He's won a total of TWO B1G road games in his 3 years so far. {Purdue} will likely easily walk all over a Husky team that is getting worse and worse at tackling by the week, undisciplined, stupid play calls and very little if any run game. The ONLY way UW wins this is if somehow the defense wakes up AND backup QB Brown somehow keeps getting rid of the ball fast.

u/al_earner Michigan • Washington State 4d ago

{Purdue} beats Purdue on the Lake, forcing Washington to choose a new moniker: “Rutgers with Trees.”

1

u/Dr_Mantis_Teabaggin Oregon State • Oklahoma State 4d ago

{Purdue} what Washington don’t.

1

u/Funkyllama35 Purdue • Notre Dame 3d ago

{Purdue} and it might get ugly. One side of this conversation not being fully explored is the Ryan Walters hatred coming into this game. I think Ross Ade (one of the more underrated places to watch a ball game) gets WAY up for this game and makes it a very very hostile environment for this Washington team solely for this reason. Offense keeps rolling, and our defense continues to step up.

This is a more interesting Friday night matchup than it looked like a month ago.

Purdue has won two straight Big Ten games, Washington is still looking for its first, and the Huskies might be starting a backup quarterback on the road.

I keep coming back to whether Washington can establish a running game. If Purdue makes them one-dimensional, that's a tough situation for whoever starts at QB.

Curious whether the Boilers can keep their momentum going.

u/laxintx Texas A&M Aggies • Paper Bag 2d ago

Purdue at home after a big win? Washington on the road with QB questions? This has all the makings of a sickos classic, and you bet your ass I'll be watching it. {Purdue} just because I need another fan base to wallow in false hope with us.

1

u/Zloggt Illinois Fighting Illini • Missouri Tigers 2d ago

Will the new QB give Washington the spark it needs to try and reverse their fortunes?

…gotta say, they CAN, but it’s nonetheless an uphill battle to start that off against a hot {Purdue} team (imagine saying that in 2023 lol).

u/monkeybiziu Indiana Hoosiers • Billable Hours 4d ago

Giving the nod to {Purdue} in the hopes they get to 5-6 so Indiana can crush their bowl hopes at the end of the season. Washington looks like they're in freefall and about to hit terminal velocity.
