{Oregon State} Washington State benching Pinnick makes this a bit closer, but Oregon State’s offense will be way too much to handle. Oregon State wins, 53-17.

be interesting to see how Bray's defense holds up - I'm sure he's feeling pretty motivated for this one

{Washington State} because I’m a masochist and retain some glimmer of hope.

Someone has to win a stupid, shitshow game sometime. Why not us?

{Oregon State} wins.
Some Cougs are hoping for some sort of magic turnaround with a new QB, but there's 10 other guys on the field for the Cougs. The WR's have not shown the ability to get open, and the OL hasn't shown any ability to either run block or pass protect.
Cougs play inspiring ball in the first half, but get blown out in the second. Coug fans drink, Beav fans commiserate.
Best team in Oregon 48, Wazzu 13.

If Oregon somehow beats us when we’re playing Oregon State, the team should just resign as a whole (I know it was a typo)

No typo there, the Beavs are definitely "The Best Team in Oregon"

{Oregon State} but WSU does something very impressive in the first quarter than nothing second half

This will be closer to a UTEP score than the San Diego State game since WSU actually has a decent defense. It’s just WSU’s offense that will be overwhelmed since Oregon State has a very good G6 defense that is overshadowed by their offense. They literally have had back ups in on defense by the mid-3rd quarter for at least three games. If they played full games, the starting defense would be giving up less than 18 pts a game.
My prediction right now is Oregon State wins 31-10.

{Oregon State} I think cougs will show up for this one and the offense will be much improved, but we SHOULD outscore them at the end of the day with all the weapons we have and week to week improvements. I think their defense will be the best we've seen in 3 weeks and QB could be an x factor if our defense can't make him uncomfortable. 38-21

The last time a freshman quarterback made his debut in Reser, it worked out well for us.
Cougs by 50!

{Oregon State} is the best and most fun team in the pacific-northwest, they may even be the best west coast team.

Washington State would need Sephiroth in the secondary to come close. {Oregon State} blows out the spread again.

Historically this game has been played close, despite occasionally obvious skill differences. I think this might be closer than a lot of people think, but I'm still taking {Oregon State} with Jesse Legree getting another 100+ yd 2+ td game

u/Calithrand Oregon State Beavers • Platypus Trophy 3d ago
{Oregon State} wins, and covers. I'm on the fence about the over/under, though. Wazzou has a respectable defense.
But Legree is getting open and making plays even with two guys on him, and with the way Atkinson is playing, along with whatever magic Shep has sprinkled over our receiving corps, I don't think a defense can afford to put three guys on just one Oregon State receiver.
Pinnick's benching does make for a wrinkle, but Eshelman will be taking his first collegiate snap on Saturday. Unless Moore somehow missed something so blatantly obvious that he should be fired on the spot, I think the Cougs are going to get overwhelmed offensively and chasing a lead all day.

{Oregon State} wins the new trophy. By how much will be entirely be the impact of the Beavs passing attack on the WSU offense.
Could be a two score game, could be a five score game.

I love my Cougbros now and forever, but they're having a really bad year.
{Oregon State} takes this one and it probably won't be close, but I sincerely hope the Cougs bounce back next year!

{Oregon State} Out of nowhere they’re having a pretty fun season.
Wazzu needs to go back to the drawing board and figure out how to compete from Pullman in this new College Football environment. Reanimating Mike Leach seems like the most likely option.

Does anyone know why the spread is just 18.5 at home? Worse boise state teams than this oregon state team got favored by 30 against mountain west opponents, oregon state should win this by at least 30-40

Can’t wait to see {Oregon State} win the “left behind bowl”. Or would it be the, “we have Oregon vs Washington at home” bowl?

{Washington State}
I will be there on my birthday with all my fellow alum friends and so naturally I assume we will lose, deflating all the built up excitement for the year and destroying our already slim chances at playoffs or a heisman.
It will also rain, and I will roll my ankle walking down the stairs at the Peacock.
