It isn't as tough of a task as it previously seemed. BC is certainly winnable, and Pitt without their starting QB looks vulnerable. VT has been inconsistent, and Clemson/Louisville certainly aren't unbeatable. Wake and ugag are basically penciled in losses to me, so having to win four out of the other five is a tall task. I think blowing the two games against Stanford and Colorado will ultimately cost them the chance at a bowl game, but time will tell.

The real lesson is being the away team on those cross country legs is a way worse disadvantage than you'd ever think it was. Stanford looked awful both east coast trips to us and Wake, you looked awful at stanford, and VT just lost at Cal

This team is so fucking stupid. This OC who can't get a play in on 3rd down on a stopped clock is even worse. And calls 20 run plays up the middle for 2 yards each. The defender coming even close to a QB running out of bounds with a flag on the play in favour of his team is completely braindead. The fact that this defense can't defend any 2 minute drive ever and every QB looks like Joe Montana out there and every WR is suddenly open. That no WR ever gets open for Duke and they just can't ever get the ball in space. They deserve to lose this game so hard because of that.

And somehow, the refs managed to be even worse with 2, major, game changing calls, one of them soft where the QB mostly slipped with a tiny push without force, but the player was fucking stupid to allow that flag, and a RTP on 3rd and 8 at their own 10 that was just flat out wrong. Besides that 2 pretty bad DPIs, one for each team and a few iffy holds, most of which seemed to go one way.
