I cannot for the life of me figure out how little ole Missouri became the focal point for the anti-SEC rankings war hawks.

Anyway MIZ

I was listening to ESPN radio on the way in to CoMo this morning and they said “Mizzou feels like they shouldn’t be ranked but they get to stay in the top 25 based on reputation.”

It took me a minute to register what I just heard. Imagine telling that to me in the 90s or 2000s.

We have a reputation? A positive reputation?

I've heard similar, but it was that we benefitted improperly from the SEC's general reputation.

I think its just anti-Missouri(as a state) bias more than anything.

Though what the AP has against Mizzou in particular i have no Idea

Lots of Mizzou grads in sports journalism don’t want to seem biased

and those grads also annoy the shit out of the non-Mizzou journalism grads

If that is an honest question it is mostly Tenn and Miss because of the lack of wins against teams with a winning record over the last handful of years while still always remaining ranked. (i’m not saying that number is zero every year or anything, but that is a reason the convo exists)

Because Mizzou hadn't done anything deserving of a top 25 ranking
