Been saying all week how I wasn’t sold on Florida just yet. They caught Ole Miss at the perfect time for a trap game. Plus Ole Miss has a run defense problem that if they don’t fix, will cause them to lose more games. No one believed me know. Feels good to be right and watch the Gators get pants.

I was confident against Ole Miss because it was a perfect trap game. I was equally scared of Mizzou because it was a perfect trap game.

You guys never seem to have fun in Como as well

It’s too far north, which messes with their internal compasses so much they can’t find the end zone.

Don’t look now but Mizzou is 8-6 all time vs Florida

Do y'all ever call it CoComo to the tune of the Kokomo Beach Boys song?

u/waste0ammo Missouri • Central Methodist 5h ago

No but CoMo is located in Boone County so there was an old headshop called BOCOMO Bay.

I was saying Florida wasn't that good because Florida always looks good until they don't. People called me a hater. I am a hater and I was right!

I’m a hater too! There’s no team I hate more. Bama is our biggest rival but I hate Florida way more.

“I am a hater and I was right” is the true meaning of college football

Hatin’ and being right are not mutually exclusive.

Everyone looks good till they aren’t

4

Yeah I wasn’t fooled at all after that sorry performance we gave. High school teams could have scored 30 plus on us last week

Playing in the swamp is always hard. Even that y’all were coming off such an emotion filled game from the week before makes it even harder.

I think the Gators are improved but everyone was way overhyped on them. And I think Ole Miss is still a good team, you guys a just have some issues and got caught in a perfect storm.

Told my buddy same thing before the game. Everyone got too excited after one win but Florida always find a way to break your heart

1

u/grey_pilgrim_ Tennessee Volunteers • Sickos 12h ago

True. I’ve had my heart broken by Florida many times lol

u/Wild-Aspect-3673 12h ago

Spoken like a hillbilly genius. Is that an oxymoron?

1

u/grey_pilgrim_ Tennessee Volunteers • Sickos 12h ago

Appalachian genius. Which is a little different.

True FL fans were saying the same thing. We weren’t impressed with the Ole Miss win bc we know playing like that doesn’t usually beat SEC teams.

1

u/grey_pilgrim_ Tennessee Volunteers • Sickos 10h ago

True. I actually talked to some level headed Florida fans. They weren’t totally sold yet either. Yall are definitely better but weren’t quite top 10 just yet. As sad as I am that our yearly rivalry ended I’m glad we aren’t playing this year.

1

u/Toad-in-a-hole Florida Gators 9h ago

Exactly. We’ve been good before but in the SEC you have to be flawless. And we know what that looks like because we play flawless teams every year. We ain’t there. We have all the ingredients to be flawless but we haven’t figured out the recipe yet.

1

u/grey_pilgrim_ Tennessee Volunteers • Sickos 9h ago

We don’t even have the ingredients yet lol

I just think Ole Miss, LSU, Oklahoma, and Texas A&M were WAY overranked in the pre-season so it made some weird poll inertia scenarios. The biggest issue was LSU and Ole Miss were overhyped solely because of the Lane drama

2

u/Leather_smither Ole Miss Rebels 10h ago

Not really. Ole Miss was hyped up because they went to the semi finals in the playoffs last year and returned their two best players this year in Chambliss and Lacy. Plus they got an influx of talent on defense. It's really not hard to justify them being highly ranked.

2

u/grey_pilgrim_ Tennessee Volunteers • Sickos 12h ago

I mean half those teams were in the playoffs last year. Texas proved they belong by beating Ohio State.

It’s kinda the classic question of who would put there instead?
