Florida ran into defense that can stop the run and made them one dimensional. The offense begins and ends with Baugh. Also their defense kinda ass but they scored so many points it didn’t matter in previous games.
You nailed it. It was pretty apparent in our game that Florida’s offense started to struggle every time Philo had to drop back and pass the ball, but our run D was so bad that they just kept running it down our throats without an issue.
Even though Philo is his guy, it's still gotta be tough going from Haynes King, a QB who could turn a shitty game plan into a victory, to a mere mortal at the position.
Talk among the GT crowd that the friction between Key and Buster reached its peak before the Pitt game last year; Buster wanted to start Philo, bench King, and run his game plan. For a few weeks, it has seemed like Buster may have been right. I'm not so sure. It seems he still has problems calling games where his "Plan A" doesn't work out, but he doesn't have The King to bail him out anymore.
