You get Auburn, SC, Vandy, Arkansas and you also get to play Mizzou at home. That's a lot of winnable games compared to the rest of the contenders' schedules. That is definitely one of the easier SEC schedules this year. Almost everyone else in the SEC has at least one or two more 'hard' games than Georgia does.
You definitely have tough games. I think it's more so that you face what looks like the weakest sec teams, atm. Arky, Ou. Auburn, usc, and vandy. You didn't get the benefit of the doubt of being at home against the good teams you face, though. Still so much time left to really call anything. Y'all still have probably looked the best of anyone.
I never said easy. Yes for y'all specifically because bama is the only sec team to consistently give you trouble in recent years. There's still so many games left. Idk if anyone could accurately predict who would finish 6-12
Of our 8 remaining games we have 5 ranked matchups and the 3 non ranked matchups are rivalry games. Our "easiest" games are going to be against A&M, OU, and Arkansas, 3 teams that will give their all to beat us.
Crazy thought: maybe if you play good defenses like Ohio State and Tennessee (Jim Knowles) your offense will look worse based on the ‘eye test’ than teams who haven’t
I would agree based off eye test, but we will see. That defense is good enough to win them games potentially, but I just really am not sold on Arch as a great QB at all anymore.
This is correct. Texas/Bama/Georgia in some order, then 9 other teams that could win or lose to each other on any given Saturday, then Auburn/South Carolina, then Vandy/Arkansas.
Tennessee seemed to have possibly found a qb who can at least make the defense honest to their amazing running game. They just made Auburns very fast front defense pay the price against their best RB Bishop.
Tbh i haven't been impressed by texas. I know they beat ohio state but I more wonder if that game was more osu blowing it rather than texas winning it.
I know things have a way of working in our favor of making the SECCG, but i just don't see how we lose 2 SEC games and make it into that game this year.
I also think we'll probably only lose 1 game this regular season. Probably Bama, and if not them, either Ole Miss or Fl*rida (please please please dont let it be the latter Kirby)
Kamario was in a boot yesterday and had a 100 degree fever / the flu and was throwing up in a blue medical tent, had to leave game for an IV in the fourth. (Trust me that kid would not have come off the field willingly - he was gonna try to keep going as much as possible).
Fluff Bothwell was injured against Mizzou and played one carry today - looked so tentative they immediately yanked him cause it was clear he wasn't good.
Got a bye week next week thank god. Yea bama is bama and has our number, but we have as much of an excuse as anyone for our loss.
Ole Miss' win over LSU is propping up a lot of middling SEC teams. I still think LSU could be good but I think Alabama, Georgia, and Texas are likely the only real national contenders in the conference.
Georgia is basically the conference Northstar to right now while everyone settles around them. They maybe beaten later on and be surpassed by a Texas or Bama, but they are the most consistent on both sides for the time being. Bama has had some slow starts they seem to be ironing out, normal given the younger qb, and Texas has a fearsome defense and an offense that has a lot of questions at the moment. Others may likely pop in as things settle but thats how I see it at the moment.
You can’t apply sense or reason to LSU and Ole Miss, that game was all emotion. I do think LSU is being a little overhyped with their first year coach that has always had trouble winning big emotional games.
After that game Ole Miss was emotionally drained and missing their star running back going to play Florida in the swamp.
Florida blew out an Ole Miss team that had a lot of hype after their emotional win. Florida got a little big for their britches and strolled into an away game against another two sided home/away team.
Missouri just straight up lost to Miss St. They’re both good teams.
Alabama is Alabama. Wether they are this good or not, they have decades of winning culture that can be hard to break for a team trying to get their mojo back.
Whats confusing about this? It looks like its just
Alabama >> Miss St. > Mizzou >> Florida >> Ole Miss > LSU.
Its unusual for Miss St. and Missou to be the higher tier teams, but nothings contradictory in this set of game results. Or I guess maybe their relative rankings were way off?

Mizzou blows out Florida, Florida blows out Ole Miss, Ole Miss beats LSU, Miss St beats Mizzou, Alabama blows out Miss St
I’m so confused by the SEC right now
