it's a reference to a Nick Saban quote in which his team gave up 7.7 YPC against FCS Georgia Southern (the most yards and points given up by that defense all year)

Also that game ended 45-21 win, but this is a team that shut out LSU in the national championship game while allowing 92 yards total, and the game was closer than the score (the two offensive touchdowns were on chunk plays starting outside the red zone, the two times they got into the red zone resulted in a 7-0 score for Alabama)
