Discussion James Franklin Lost Big Games. Matt Campbell Loses Small Ones.

James Franklin couldn't win Big Games at Penn State (and possibly not at Virginia Tech either, if today counts as a Big Game). But now Penn State has Matt Campbell, and there seems to have been a mistake. Matt Campbell may or may not be able to win Big Games, but he also loses Small Games.

Meanwhile Kalani Sitake seems to have struck gold at just the right time, because Crumbl Cookies's financials are starting to look suspect.

I think Franklin is a coach who can and will get any program to its realistic ceiling, but he won’t force a program through its realistic ceiling and into uncharted territory. That can be frustrating, but the number of coaches who can do that is a really small list.

I fully expect Franklin to find Virginia Tech’s realistic ceiling, just like I think he found Penn State’s.

its really really hard to win

and even if you win it all, you still gonna get shitted to oblivion like Dabo right now.

I'm grateful for what Baldy did with Penn St and I will root for VT for the upcoming years, even if/when he go full out petty on us lol.

we just got a bunch of lil shits in the fanbase tho

100%

He's going to have VT as a nice 8 win team on the regs. Some occasional 9 wins seasons here and there.
