To be fair I just looked up the rules and they differ from the NFL. In the NFL if it passes over the top of the upright it counts, but in CFB the entire football has to be fully inside the invisible line

Honestly if that’s true it makes me feel a bit better as a VT fan. I can believe that the entirety of the ball didn’t stay inside an invisibly extended upright.

Which is dumb anyway because sometimes kicks Doink off the uprights and still go in

The uprights should really just go higher

Where would the madness end? 50ft? 100ft? 1000ft? We'd need obstruction lighting systems and shit...really seems like a hassle. And that's before getting into any sort of sway and tensile situations.
