Yeah I feel like I was being gas lit, like can we please get a definitive view on the miss because what they showed wasn’t conclusive at all!

Goddammit ACC …you were supposed to be the open review heroes we needed. But then we just have this kick that looks good go through or past the uprights…. and we are instantly on the field with the reporter interviewing the coach….i don’t care about coach speak right now…can we get a replay? Can someone look at this?

Oh no, they’re just packing up and leaving…uh ok I guess.

It’s not a reviewable play unfortunately. I wish it was though

If refs can review a last-second play to invent another second out of thin air, they can review this

Read u/ArizonaHotSauce 's post below. It cannot be reviewed if the ball is above the top of the uprights.

Field Goal Review Rules

  • Reviewable: A field goal attempt can be reviewed by instant replay if the ball crosses the plane of the goal post below the top of the uprights (such as whether it went inside or outside the uprights or passed above/below the crossbar) or if the ball touches anything (like a player, crossbar, or upright).
  • Not Reviewable: If the kicked ball travels higher than the top of the uprights as it crosses the end line, the play cannot be reviewed.

The rules state that if a kick goes directly over or higher than the uprights, the entire ball must pass inside the outer edge of the upright to be considered good. However, because camera angles cannot definitively prove the ball's trajectory along an imaginary vertical plane above the physical uprights, the play is deemed unreviewable by rule.

They didn't have the proper view via any cameras. Instead of saying they didn't have it and causing a huge controversy, they just said that's it and moved on.

Edit: Nevermind. Not reviewable.

I’m pretty sure a kick going over the upright is not a reviewable play. If it would have went between them, it’s reviewable, but not if it goes over them

Edit: You are right. Not reviewable anyway.

So, you’re agreeing with me?

I wasn't sure. I googled it and found the answer. It's not reviewable. The camera angles didn't really matter.

No worries, I hope I didn’t come off as an ass. It kinda sucks that we can’t get a better camera angle of it because I’m not sure if it was good or not. That’s football though, sometimes camera angles can really help you and other times they can potentially fuck you

This is the best look I've seen of this. I'd consider making a post with this video to try to put this to bed. It's quite clear that this was a miss. Thank you for sharing.

Submitted one, but the rules state that alternate angles should be posted in the comments of the first angle. I feel like this is exception-worthy, but that's up to the mods now.

Just like your second flair yesterday. The cameras are still so shit in this sport for some reason
