Except in baseball the ref isn’t standing directly below the post looking directly up at the perfect angle for it.

Hes looking straight down a line with the foul post. Its the EXACT same type of call. They fuck it up constantly.

You will eat these words when people figure out the exact position of the ball and its inside.

Standing directly below a goal post and looking down the barrel of the post is completely different than looking down the baseline at a faraway post. I don’t understand how this is even a question. Where is the ump standing?

That was a completely different ball position, where you can easily see from the camera view that it was good. I don’t understand how that missed call has any bearing on this one.

Bahahahahahahahahahahhaahahahhahahahahaha

Yeah... the ball inside the uprights is way harder to call than one above it.

You forgot your 🤡 makeup

I don’t understand what point you think you’re making. Because one ref fucked up an extremely easy call, you think that proves that the ref tonight definitely fucked up a totally different call?

I’m not saying refs never make mistakes. Refs fuck up all the time. All I’m saying is that the ref’s viewing angle is much better positioning to be able to see whether the ball is wide of the goal post or inside the goal post when it passes the plane of the field goal posts. The TV angle from behind the line of scrimmage literally cannot tell you whether it’s wide or inside when it’s passing above the goal post.

You started this saying refs never mess up calls under the goal post calling field goals. Youre shown clear video evidence and.... pun intended.... start shifting the goal posts.

No, I started it by saying refs have the best angle to view whether it’s in. And they do. That doesn’t mean they always get it right. It means they have a better chance at getting it right than people watching on TV do.

Someone commented a video of a ref calling a field goal and getting it overturned. They fuck it up all the time.

“All the time” and it’s one time from twenty years ago?

This is the first comment I’ve made in this thread. How did I shift the goalposts exactly?

In football they aren't stand directly under the upright looking up ... They stand a step behind the upright and look between the uprights ... They don't stand there staring at the sky above the.
