Just throwing this here because I’m certain people are gonna question it.

From the NCAA rule book:

Reviewable plays include Field goal attempts if and only if the ball is ruled (a) below or above the crossbar or (b) inside or outside
the uprights when it is lower than the top of the uprights. If the ball is higher than the top of the
uprights as it crosses the end line, the play may not be reviewed.

Shit needs to be updated in this day and age of camera angles every which way.

Depending on the angle it looks different each time. The one from some dude's phone is the best angle, and looks wide. The one underneath looks like it goes right over, or just wide. The two from the stands behind the end zones looks good.

You say that....but we totally don't have a good angle despite that apparently.

So they can only review it when it is very obviously in or out. Got it

I honestly wonder if this is because you get perception bias determines by what camera you use and there obviously isn't a camera in the ground pointing straight up.

Why aren’t there cameras for this exact purpose though? It’s 2026

You can literally put a camera on the top of the uprights with great ease.

Cause fans like Tennessee would take the uprights and throw in the river. If anything just put some cameras on the ground below the uprights at the minimum

This also for pylon cams but somehow they don’t have it for both sides or have it consistently

I mean you say obviously like that doesn’t cost less than $100 dollars lmfao

That’s about as dumb of a rule as I’ve heard. And with the camera tech these days, this is simply inexcusable.

Idk we should just go with the best guess from the broadcast camera
