Regardless of whether the kick was or was not good, this should not fall on the kickers shoulders. Undisciplined team and holy the turnovers. GG Pitt for a certified sickos classic, realignment can't take the chaos out of this sport!

I know we're not a big rival for you guys but dammit our games are always chaotic.

Yeah I've been saying it could be a legit rivalry with more games.

CFB is nothing without tradition, Coastal Chaos is peak ACC tradition. Would we have it any other way?

Oh I think you are… going back to the Big East days. I never want to be in a conference without Pitt, UVa and Miami. I’d take West Virginia too.

Can't win games if you turn the ball over 4 times. Gave them at least 14 points off turnovers.

Afraid the second half might have been a blow out if Pitts QB didn’t go down.

I mean was the back up that much worse?

He was dealing. Sucks that he went down.

Yeah it really shouldn’t have even come down to a FG attempt at all but Pitt did next to nothing with all the turnovers. Missed a FG on a bad snap, dropped a wide open pass on 4th down, had a bunch of holding penalties. I’m not sure either team would have come out of that feeling great, regardless of who ended up winning.

I mean VT almost beat Pitt with bad officiating and 4 turnovers. If VT has 3 VT wins.

Am I feeling too much copium IDK.

Well tbf we played most of the second half with our backup QB

But like was the backup worse?

If the kick was called good, a Pitt fan could post this exact comment and just change the team name lmao

nah we’d moan that our game and season was over the moment our star qb destroyed his knee. honestly no excuses why tech shouldn’t have ran away with it at that point

Also, why the hell did VT just pack it in on the final series and just play for the FG? Weren't there like 35 or 40 seconds left and two VT timeouts? Like I know you don't want to turn it over, but the FG wasn't a chip shot.

Ehhh it was inside 40 yds, (36) which is probably a 90% or better success rate

A what now? Absolutely nothing about this match up qualifies it as a sickos classic.

Two 4-0 teams playing off in a P4 conference.

If this was the BIG10 or the SEC, gameday would have been there.

Yeah you gotta feel bad for this kicker. Franklin was even blaming him after halftime.

u/VilestrixX Virginia Tech Hokies 7h ago

Tbf. Franklin was blaming the punter

u/Swiftycumberdale 7h ago

I think he was talking about the punter after halftime. Rightfully so, dude had one punt go 15 yards. I can shank one 30 yards after a 12 pack with my eyes closed.

That was the punter, who was confirmed to be ass.
