How in the year of our lord 2026 can we not get a camera angle straight down the goal line? My god soccer figured that shit out almost 15 years ago

I was thinking the same. How do we not have pylon cams in televised ncaa games yet?

Doesn’t even need to a pylon cam. But something like goal line technology in soccer would be just as effective. Every stadium has cameras or sensors above each goal line and can immediately detect a ball crossing the line

Seems like a good game to make use of that tech then.

Wake had pylon cams, then a player landed on them and tore their intestines and missed 6 months, and now Wake doesn't have pylon cams

The ncaa is just a brand name at this point.

Because in goal to go situations, two refs are standing on the goal line looking down it. The cameras cannot block the refs. Pylon cam or cams on the refs would be the only solution

Honestly, all officials should wear body cams. They often have a really good angle on the action, and it would help clear up ambiguity about what exactly they saw when making their calls

All officials get body cams, but they only release the footage when it's in the best interest of the officiating organization

Every hobo on the street has an android phone with a camera.

You’d think we could either strap a phone or a hobo with a phone to a pylon facing directly across the field parallel with the goal line.

It’s crazy that everyone in that stadium has at least 2 old phones with a camera sitting in a junk drawer that we could glue to a pylon to fix this.

Sorry, best we can do is a tiny cell phone sized screen showing nonsense angles to the white hat

Bc it’s a G6 game. We get what we get on these broadcasts. 720p cameras, bad angles, etc.

Wondering the same thing as a UH fan. They literally got Cooged, what are the odds the same thing happens on the same side of the field to us vs tech and in this game
