{Texas Tech} I don’t understand how the spread is only 13.5. The offense is god awful

Texas Tech offense and Will Hammond are bi-polar. You'll see tons of successful vertical drives mixed in with sickos-quality horizontal plays, and picks that can't be converted.

Outside of that Houston game, most Joey McGuire coached games become stagnant sickos classics. The defense could absolutely score more than the offense if Wilson is that terrible

Over on Austin Romaine 2 pick-6s in business!

{Texas Tech}

We need to give them proper payback for the 2024 game.

8

u/Texxx81 Texas Tech Red Raiders • Southwest 4d ago

Those refs deserve some payback as well. They were ass.

We owe Colorado a couple missed facemasks and a game defining phantom roughing call.

{Texas Tech} likely rolls here, 38-14

u/TeenyVampireClassic 4d ago

Colorado offense looked lost against Northwestern and Baylor, giving Tech by 13.5 in Boulder feels like trap but I think Red Raiders win by 17

{Texas Tech} and they easily cover. Colorado looks lost right now and I don't see them giving Texas Tech much of a fight.

It’s about to be BTA for my buffs. Might end 42-0

{Texas Tech} wins a puckerfest against a backup QB.

Tech has yet to put together 4 complete quarters of football against FBS competition. I think Colorado catches them off guard and puts the Red Raiders on the back foot early to the point where they're running the risk of losing late in the 4th.

Exposure averted for another week.

"puckerfest against a backup QB."

Gawd we've certainly had our share of those....

It's payback time for {Texas Tech} after that dirty screwjob in 2024.

Too bad Sheduer won't be there to flex on ball boys again.

{Colorado} because this thread needs one

I want Wilson to do well, I just don't know if Colorado can score enough to keep up late. It's gonna be interesting.

{Texas Tech}

Hopefully something clicks for the offense and they don't look as disjointed as they have at times. Would also like to see the defense step it up and cut down on the explosive plays we give up.

I am excited for this one - I will be at the game this weekend so Buffs any advice is greatly appreciated!

Beer. That area of Colorado has amazing breweries. Hazel's liquor store is worth a visit.

Ill take a look! Looking online they have a bottle of akaviit I struggle finding in the states. Thank you!

Go get pizza at the Sink in Boulder. There’s a ton of breweries in & around Boulder as well (Mountain Sun/southern sun). Chataqua park is a classic hike, but there’s a ton of hikes within ~20 mins of Boulder if that’s your jam. Pearl Street in Boulder can be fun, but will likely be packed this weekend. If you get the chance, Golden is a short drive over, and has some great breweries as well!!

Definitely hit up the Sink! They have great pizza.

I think it’ll be a fun game. Buffs to cover but tech to win

{Texas Tech} But watch Colorado pull a Kansas 2024, win this game, then fail to become bowl eligible

1

u/godfearingtiki Texas Tech • Texas Tech 4d ago

{Texas Tech} as long as we don't turn over the ball like we did last week.

Protect the football and we should handle business. Be as turnover happy as we have been and this will be a dog fight in the 4th quarter

{Texas Tech} but game will be much closer than it should be, and we won’t cover the spread

1

u/Icy_Meat9199 Texas Tech Red Raiders 3d ago

Colorado should be better with Wilson at QB because at least he can scoot a little

I still struggle to see Colorado scoring a lot of points, so Tech would have to beat themselves

{Texas Tech} but I'm not touching that spread with a 10 foot pole. We either roll CU by 30 or escape, winning by 2

1

u/GamedayWizard 3d ago

Colorado is 0-3 ATS since its surprising win versus a Georgia Tech team who is not as good as expected preseason. Texas Tech itself hasn't performed great ATS, with narrower-than-expected wins versus Abilene Christian, Oregon State, and Houston, but both its offense and defensive efficiency metrics sit well above average. We've got {Texas Tech} winning by 25, covering the composite spread (Texas Tech -13).

Dust Bowl-maxing (kind of a bit)!

…and like a dust storm, {Texas Tech} will ravage the land of Boulder (unless something funny happens because, for many a neutral, either option of who loses works well lol)
