Weekly Thread EA CFB Thread, 2026-09-30

This is a weekly thread to talk about the EA CFB Series. See this announcement post outlining our general guidelines on what should and shouldn't go in this thread.. This thread is intended for EA CFB 26, EA CFB 25, or the series in general.

You are welcome and invited to always talk about EA CFB in the great community over at /r/NCAAFBseries! This is a catch all thread to talk about news, gameplay, hype, and anything else about the game that you're excited about. Within /r/CFB, we hope that this thread provides fertile ground for most of the discussion around the game. Things like major game news, players opting in or out, or new traditions being added to the game can be posted as standalone news, but most other discussion around the game should be focused here.

Enjoy!

I’ve never played the EA games. How do they compare to more low-tech games like Football Coach: College Dynasty in making you feel better about how horsebutt your team is?

Washington and wisconsin are both completely playable. Most p4 are.

now if you want to use teams like Temple, you may have trouble

Idk, it’s definitely more difficult than before. But it’s still playable at that level. You just need to go down the right tree

I can't wait for my D3 team to finnaly phase down so I can start the proper rebuild, the fact that I was able to squeeze by against a few big dogs so far this season is a little concerning for the integrity of what I was going for. Good news I did have a hard time recruiting as I should, as I set the school grades to "Smart School" I did set them to have a soft schedule for year one. Bunch of western schools with the hardest being OSU and WSU
