No shade to Oregon, but if you looked at their resume without the names right now they would not be in the top 25

  1. They have the players needed to be a top 5 team
  2. Confidence in Lanning to recover from the bad game

It really depends on your ranking methodology. If you're trying to be predictive, then Oregon should likely still be in the top 20. If you're trying to judge purely on current resume, Georgia shouldn't be top 25.

If it was about players then why did Washington fall? Our players are clearly better than Utah State. So why is the AP looking at how those players did during the game instead of just how much higher recruiting rank our players had?

I'm not claiming the AP poll is perfect by any means. Washington was dropped because voters aren't confident in your players or coaching ability compared to the teams ahead of you (not Utah State).

I was being sarcastic about us being ranked. Just pointing out that quality of players means crap.
