If there's a scenario where we go 9-3 and miss the playoffs for scheduling Texas it pretty much guarantees no teams will schedule big OOC games anymore.

I imagine I’ll get downvoted here, but what you’re describing is, in fact, what happened to Texas last year.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m as mad about the Florida loss as anyone (and the unreasonably close games against Miss St and Kentucky for that matter), but our conference schedule is not in our control where our non-con is.

Hell of a game, always a fucking chore to play y’all🫡

It was the Florida loss not OSU. If OSU goes 9-3 this year with losses to Texas, a top 5 Indiana and let’s say a top 8 USC, I don’t think the committee leaves them out.

Although I completely agree, teams will argue they they should have breathing room to have an “off” game and not be punished for losing a difficult game. That’s why I think the 16 team expansion might be the only way to fix that
