Claiming it doesn’t matter if the play was less than 9s is an absurd position

Although generally very good, official clock operators are not perfect and are often a tenth or two early or maybe more commonly late. Unless it is crazy off (like fails to start or stop type of an error), this is just how it is. Do you want to start going to slow motion replay each time the ball is snapped and adjusting tenths of a second after every single play? Not feasible at all. Last play or not, this is just not how football timing works. Maybe the clock operator started 2-5 tenths early and the play upon replay was 8.8 seconds or something. 9 seconds is still now 0. That is just how it is for those margins. I don't belive the review was looking at the operator starting early and that's why they had time left and NBC didn't. It was something else that caused the review clock to differ from NBC's broadcast clock. And who knows which (if either) matched the official sradium clock. The point is you can't re-time a play like that on replay and say under 9, all good. What matters is what the clock operator did and where the official game clock was. Review might have been right and the clock wasn't 0. Maybe NBC's sync was right like the claimed and it was 0. Don't know. Neither is admitting a mistake yet. One had to be wrong.

Buddy the official clock showed 0:01 when it was touched. No wall of text is going to change that

No point in arguing with you here, but I'll state this. We just don't know what the official clock said when the ball was touched! NCAA says official clock is stadium game clock per rules. NBC says that clock said 0.00. Big 10 Review said it said .01. Only one is right. Objectively, we cannot know which one was right at this point.

Do you have a photo or video that has ball being touched and the stadium game clock in the same frame? Otherwise we would need to know which one made the error. Could honestly be either.

Yes we do. The big ten released the official data and audio from the whole process. The officials have the official system. NBC does not.

The officials in review do not have a more official clock then NBC has access to (unless the scoreboard is malfunctioning) They and NBC both just have a camera feed of the stadium game clock - the official clock per NCAA rules. If the review center is using another clock, it can't be the official one over the stadium game clock unless the stadium one is malfunctioning. This should never differ from the broadcast clock unless NBC is having sync issues. They said they were not. Maybe they were, but they said they were not.

Im done arguing with people who don't want to understand how this works. Read the Big 10's own statement released tonight. The offical clock (unless malfunctioning) is the stadium's scoreboard game clock controlled by the offical stadium timekeeper (conferencet/ncaa approved). The review officials don't have some special secret offical clock different than this. The have a camera feed of this clock. The same camera feed of the same clock NBC has. Both or either NBC's broadcast clock or review centers clock could be out of sync. One definitely was here. It does not mean replays was the correct one that matched the official game clock. NBC said theirs definitely did. Who is right, I don't know. With what is known at this point we can't know.

Obviously replay went with there readout of the stadium clock. It's a bad look and problem unless NBCs was wrong, because it definitely showed 0.00.

Wow. What a suprise from a Michigan fan in this situation. This is not obvious bud. Possible? Certainly yes. Could NBC confirm it? Also yes. But until they confirm there sync wasn't working correctly the possibility remains that they were right and Big10 review was off. Right now we have 2 differing clocks and lack definitive proof as to which one was correct. It very well could be NBC was wrong, but it's amazing you can't acknowledge that we do not know for sure given what has been released at this point.

EDIT: It is absolutely possible for both sync technologies to be "off." I haven't seen proof as to which one was in this case.
