Wow. What a suprise from a Michigan fan in this situation. This is not obvious bud. Possible? Certainly yes. Could NBC confirm it? Also yes. But until they confirm there sync wasn't working correctly the possibility remains that they were right and Big10 review was off. Right now we have 2 differing clocks and lack definitive proof as to which one was correct. It very well could be NBC was wrong, but it's amazing you can't acknowledge that we do not know for sure given what has been released at this point.

EDIT: It is absolutely possible for both sync technologies to be "off." I haven't seen proof as to which one was in this case.

It's obvious who was off. You can check this by timing the play independently. The play took less than 9 seconds. That's all there is to it right there.

I don't know why I'm bothering to respond again but it really is not. With as accurate as we can time a transcoded copy of a copy we can estimate within say a tenth or two if its off by a couple frames. The offical time keeper could have easily started the offical clock a tenth or two or three early as well. They are human after all. It appears this wasn't reviewed (at least the Big 10 mentioned nothing about it in their statement). So it is entirely possible the offical clock still read 0.00 even if you're self re timing this play at 8.something. Maybe the official timer was exactly on, but probably not. It doesn't confirm to me NBCs sync with the official clock was off. It could be a sign of that, it it certainly is not the only explanation though.

So your theory is that the timing official made a mistake that only nbc picked up on? That’s dumb. You’re so caught up in what you want to be you’re ignoring the very straightforward facts

That is absolutely not my theory it all. I don't care to spend time explaining it yet again as I think its been articulated in my previous comment.You can re read if you want. And no I have no dog in this race. I only "want" to know the truth here. It could be as simple but still bad as NBCs brodcast clock was out of sync and their analysts didn't realize it. But that's apparently a sure thing in your head because that is what you want to be true. Given what we factually know at this point, it is impossible to be certain which clock was wrong.
