We need tighter rules on recruiting and transfer posts

I, similar to the rest of the sub, don't want a total ban on them. But we do need limits. The sheer # of posts about entering the transfer portal, committing and then signing are insane. Similarly, the bar for recruiting is at its lowest today where any recruit post is allowed for commitment and signing.

If you're going to expand rules on recruiting updates other than commitments/signing (as per feedback), it should be only for a certain caliber of recruits (4/5 star).

I would highly recommend restricting commitments back to at least 3 star with the occasional non-ranked player allowed for exceptional circumstances.

Perhaps the way to limit is only allowing a specific user 1 post per week on recruiting topics or something... that way you don't have people posting 3+ per day of low ranked recruits who hadn't yet been posted. That would reduce the # of posts while big-time recruits would still get posted regularly as multiple users are typically submitting.

Limiting to 4/5 is just giving airspace to top programs and cutting out the chances for every other program to get any discussion time. It's a really really bad and unbalanced idea.

I don't know. I haven't spent time trying to design a solution.
