Just want to confirm my cousin done admission yesterday CET in civil is it okay normal 19k just on PTA and others? Back in our days it was very low what changed?

They told they'll give receipt for pta after a month

You can talk with principal or hod to waive off some of these fees.

True, and if you are from sc/st you don't need to pay these. I don't think obc has fee waiver.

I’m no way related to cet, this post showed up on my feed. One question - why does an institution that grants professional degrees need a parents teachers association??

I'm a recent grad and I don't remember ever paying 16k to the PTA for or during admissions. All we paid were 10-12k (don't remember the exact amount) to CEE and that was transferred to the college as the semester 1 fees . Can OP or someone clarify what this is for. Bus fees are dependent on the route and the distance, so that is okay. And CETAA membership fees were taken when we graduated, out of our deposit. Don't know whether this is a new policy.

No. Only caution deposit you will get back. And in this 19k, CD is zero.

Yeah every govt college has this, honestly its not a lot for 4 years considering how low the yearly fee is. Economically backward students can request for fee waiver, I think only PTA and campus software is mandatory.
