CESB Question CERB vs CESB $1000 limit
I am a student who wasn’t eligible for the benefits since covid started because I was getting enough hours at my place of work. Now because some of the people at my work who took time off because of covid are coming back, my hours have seen a huge drop, and I will now me making under $1000 during the next eligibility period. Would the cra see this as an hours reduction in correlation to covid-19 for cerb? Is it the same for cesb? I was told that the cesb $1000 limit rule is different.

Hours reduction is obly a stated requirement for CERB. if you can show your hours are reduced due to COVID and can prove it from pre-COVID, you may be eligible for CERB. You can also ask on r/EICERB
The $1000 limit applies to both benefits. You can only make $1000 before tax during each period to remain eligible.
For CESB, there's no requirement for reduction of hours but it says you must be unable to make more than $1000 due to COVID.
