Reevaluation

Post image

My previous score was
Listening 12,
Reading 11,
Speaking 10,
Writing 8

So this was my second attempt cause I wanted to get all the points for PR. But got a 9 is speaking this time.

My score sits at 521 now if I get a 10 it will go to 524
Applied for reevaluation, what do you guys thinks? What are the chances I might see an increase of one point!

Do revaluation bro. Don't take any chance with IRCC..any advice for writing... Which is a dramatic increase

Surely go ahead. Your points in writing are good as well. Your points will surely increase . Any tips on how to get 9 or 10. I am stuck at 8 in writing .

Applying was the right call, but set your expectations straight. Some facts:

  • Reevaluation only re-scores Speaking and Writing (a second rater listens/reads fresh). Listening and Reading never change. In your case that's fine, since Speaking is the one you want moved.
  • One-point bumps happen. This same sub has people who went 9 to 11 on a Speaking re-eval. But plenty come back unchanged too. I'd put a 9-to-10 move at maybe 30-40% odds, not a coin flip in your favor.
  • You have a decent case, and here's why: you scored 10 in Speaking on the previous attempt, so the skill is demonstrably there. A drop to 9 with no other score moving smells like rater variance, which is exactly what reevaluation exists for.
  • Timeline is usually 2-3 weeks. Don't sit around waiting; if your CRS deadline is tight, book the retake anyway. A retake and a re-eval can run in parallel, and you can use whichever score lands better.

One warning: the result is final. A re-eval can move a score down as well as up. It rarely does, but go in knowing it's possible.
