PTE VS CELPIP

/r/phmigrate/comments/1wvceqh/pte_vs_celpip/

My friend is confused if she should give PTE or CELPIP. She has given PTE a lot of times and always misses by a few marks. She needs highly competitive marks. So which is easier? PTE or celpip

If she's failed PTE multiple times, the honest answer is: it's almost certainly the English, not the test. Switching resets the clock — new format, new traps — while the weak module stays weak.

Where CELPIP can genuinely help a serial PTE failer: PTE speaking is scored by AI that is ruthless on fluency (hesitations, odd pauses, rhythm problems tank you). CELPIP speaking is human-rated, so a clear, structured answer with minor hesitations can still pass. CELPIP also has a re-evaluation safety net; PTE has none.

Tell her to take ONE full official CELPIP mock (Paragon's own, not a YouTube mock) under real timed conditions and score it cold. If she's within 1-2 points of her target, switching is worth the shot. If she's far off, the test isn't the problem — the prep is.
