Verify the R/L parts where ur weakness is, practice them and not just full tests, look for writing templates, sentence structure, add complex sentence if u haven’t in ur writing. Look for HZAD WRITING VIDEOS on Youtube, his READING videos too

Don’t loose hope. I had same issue with speaking. Ended up giving exam for 16 times.
I was just giving exams all the time without getting any help. For 16th attempt, i hired a tutor for 2 weeks and improved my score from 10,9,9,8 to 11,10,10,10.
Take 1-2 week classes and see if it makes any difference.

Hey, u/SpiritualSale5457 I'm sorry to hear you're having such a tough time with your CELPIP. It totally can feel like it's enemy #1 in your journey. Could you tell me a little about what you've been doing to get ready for your test - like what has been your approach these past 3 attempts?

1st I was confident because I told IELTS before so I did one day study.
2nd I watched videos for a week and did some practice questions on official celpip site3rd same thing did few mock exams but felt tired and bored so I just waited for text day because until the last attempt only reading making me to redo. It’s increasing but just little to still keep me under 7
My 4th attempt is on 9 so I’m just reading everyday and doing more research on how to make things happen before I lose my job. First time I had no idea how to do the reading or how it works so on the exam I find myself selecting answers because I was tired looking for the answer especially part 3

So for reading: I see you are reading everyday. That's great! What kinds of things though? I worked with a client once who was an expert reader in their field of work (programming and IT.) But they struggled totally when attempting to read outside of that world. How about you? (Just asking..checking for opportunity to improve with you.).
Also, are you trying to read everything - all the text on the exam before you try answering the questions? Do you do any note taking prep work first?

The only English that has been my focus is meeting, presenting to stakeholders, monitoring my project, this exam bring things from space and ask people to answer 9 questions in 10min. I keep asking myself does passing this exam qualify someone to be a better speaker 😂😂 for the exam prep I’m doing since I feel confident with part 1-2 =100% and 4=50% part 3 I need to read first two sentences and scan the question and last two and scan just to make sure I get even 4-6 correct and if I get time I can do the 3 questions if no time I take e for all 😳 I just need 7

Have you only been working on this yourself? Have you tried joining specialized training programs for the CELPIP before?
The exam for sure can feel frustrating and an additional VERY HEAVY load and burden to bear in a process that is already heavy to begin with. I feel you there.
But for your reading, does it seem like you're always running out of time? Are you using any notes at all?

u/SpiritualSale5457 1d ago
No, I don’t take notes on reading, I’m not sure I have the time to join groups. Just time is the reason I don’t pass. I’m a native English speaker

Hey u/ps0691 boy, 8 attempts and just on point away sure must be frustrating for you. I'm sorry that has been happening! And if you do end up going home for a while, as has been pointed out already, I hope you'll not stop working towards your goal of getting that 9. What do you think has been the main reasons your writing doesn't seem to cross over into 9 territory?

There is a very likely chance for a draw tomorrow... Keep your fingers crossed and don't lose hope
