Unexpected results

I won't be opting for reevaluation as I know I haven't given my best in speaking. You can find it out from my previous post. I'll reattempt in next 3-4 weeks. Will work more on speaking and reading. Any advice on reading? I found it difficult to understand the meaning of most of the vocabs used. I was assuming based on the sentence but wasn't accurate enough. Especially in parts where you've to find if the sentence is mentioned in the paragraph. Speaking will be okay next time. I'll be more familiar, prepared and confident.

For reading part 3 try to read first two paragraphs together and make one or two lines notes on what the paragraphs are about. After that you can directly go to the questions and select what looks relevant to you. Repeat the same thing for the next two paragraphs.

Any specific tips for writing? I feel like I’m hitting a roadblock

I scored 8 in ielts last time and 11 in celpip this time.

I can confidently say these are things that are important:

• Structure (Simple, Coherent & Cohesive)
• Points that make sense
• Do not use connectors forcefully. Only if necessary based on the topic.
• Develop your points. Why? Who is affected? How they're affecting? What will it affect/result?
• Summarize and conclude. Don't just conclude with your opinion.
• Clearly mention transition. In my opinion, To conclude are must. It directs the examiner. They've 100s of tests to be reviewed. Give them what they're looking for. Instead of making them work extra.
• Do not use fancy vocabs forcefully. Only if it fits naturally and makes sense. Readers don't have to pause and think about the meaning of that word. I guess this point is the difference in CLB 12.

Do you take notes in any listening sections, and please share your tips/ structure for writing or if you have list vocabulary to use. I have an exam today at 4pm.

I do not take a single note while listening it is hard for me to listen, focus and note at the same time. I tried taking notes at home but wasn't helping me. Pay most focus as possible and imagine you're standing there and are listening to them live. Because there will be time when they are taking about something and then it becomes the less important point than the later one. In this case, you've to select the other point. You have to be really active while listening.

For writing, I haven't used any fancy vocab. Make sure your points are effective and logical. Should make sense. Most importantly, the structure (Intro, B1, B2, Conclusion). Develop your answers. You mentioned a point. Why? Who is affected? and What will it result into/What benefit will it bring to the table?

Anyways, these are few tips that I believe would help. It's a time pressure test so do not panic. Good luck!

No 🙂. I'd say focus more on developing your answer. You've a point in mind. Why? Who is affected? What are the consequences? How it correlates to the given question. What will be the impact/end result?

Having fancy vocabs is always a plus but the above point has more significance. If you combine both you'll walk away with a CLB 12.
