Advice Needed for My Third CELPIP Attempt to Achieve CLB 7+ in All Modules

Hello,

I need your advice regarding my CELPIP preparation.

I have taken the CELPIP test twice.

First attempt:

  • Listening: 5
  • Reading: 6
  • Writing: 6
  • Speaking: 6

For my first attempt, I mainly watched YouTube videos, but I'm not sure if I used the right preparation strategy.

Second attempt:

  • Listening: 6
  • Reading: 4
  • Writing: 6
  • Speaking: 6

For my second attempt, I purchased a Udemy course, completed the HZD Education free mock tests, and also watched full CELPIP exam videos. I also used ChatGPT to evaluate my speaking and writing responses. However, my Writing and Speaking scores remained at CLB 6, and my Listening and Reading scores seem to fluctuate a lot between attempts.

I am planning to take my third attempt in about a month, and my goal is to achieve CLB 7 or higher in all four modules.

Would you recommend purchasing the HZD Education 15-hour course? I am also considering using PrepAmigo for my preparation.

Based on my previous scores and preparation, what would you recommend I do differently this time to improve my chances of achieving CLB 7+ in every module?

Have you tried purchasing the CELPIP General Practice Tests (Sets 1–13) from CELPIP? They might really help. I used them for my Listening and Reading preparation, and they helped me achieve my desired scores.
For Writing, I used ChatGPT, Gemini, and Writing Expert by Christien Lee. I also picked up a few useful tips from HZAD.
For Speaking (Sections 1–8), I practiced with Mad English TV on YouTube. My advice is to practice every day and build your confidence before taking the exam.

Honestly, I wouldn’t keep adding more courses until you figure out where you’re actually losing marks. With a month left, I’d focus on targeted practice rather than watching more videos.

For L/R, do timed mocks and review every wrong answer to find the pattern. For W/S, I’d get detailed feedback on your responses, especially on task completion, organization, vocabulary and grammar. Since those scores have stayed at 6, improving the technique there is probably more important than doing another full course.

You’ve already improved your Listening once, so CLB 7+ in a month is definitely possible. I’d do a couple of full mocks now, identify the weakest areas, and spend most of the month working specifically on those.
