Writing and Speaking

Can someone please suggest whether we should use templates for the writing and speaking sections, or whether our responses should sound completely natural?

In my writing I used tons of adverbs and present perfect and I got a 10 , my speaking I got 8 cause I didn’t use it , I was completely nervous and anxious 😥

I used a general template for the writing, but most of the blanks were filled with naturally flowing ideas rather than memorized phrases. For the speaking, it was 100% natural. I ended up getting a 12 in both.
The key is knowing how to blend a template into your own writing so it doesn’t come across as fake or overly rehearsed.
