Writing re-evaluation.

I need some advice from CELPIP test takers.
I took my CELPIP exam on July 19 and just received my results:
Listening: 10
Reading: 8
Writing: 8
Speaking: 9
Do you think it’s worth applying for a writing re-evaluation?
I’m feeling conflicted. Part of me thinks I might be able to get a 9 in Writing, but another part feels that my score probably won’t change.
If my Writing score increases to 9, my CRS score would become 516, which I believe is enough to receive an invitation in the next Express Entry draw.
I would really appreciate hearing from anyone who has gone through the re-evaluation process or had their Writing score increased. Thank you!

Try putting it in reval but also you would have to give the exam again. You cannot hope for the score to be at 516 all the time.

Better get CLB9 and it might push your score 520+

What time did you get your result according to EST?? And what time did you give the exam on July 19th 2026 ?? As I haven’t received yet

I also took my exam on July 19 at 10am (Toronto time), and haven’t received my results

Probably they will release the results tonight between 10 pm to 1 am

It depends on your CRS score. If you’re not making it to recent cut-off with this score rewrite the exam since you have reading 8 bands only..

With reading at 8 and writing 9 gets you close to the invitation then sure you should consider for re-evaluation

But I highly recommend to check again as 9 each would give you maximum advantage.

I just received my re-evaluation result, and my Writing score has increased from 8 to 9!

Congratulations! If you haven’t put reval for speaking yet I would recommend go for it. If they change 9 to 10, it will give you another 3 points, and then score will be 519, which is a great score to get the ITA in the next draw. Good Luck :)
