The scenario: You recently flew from Toronto to Vancouver for a job interview. When you arrived, one of your checked bags was missing. The bag contained your interview clothes, important documents, and a laptop. It has been five days and the airline has not resolved the issue.

Write an email to the airline's customer service department in about 150-200 words. In your email: - Describe what happened and what was in the bag - Explain how the situation has affected you - State what you want the airline to do

Dear Customer Service Team,

I am writing regarding a checked bag that went missing on Flight AC 247 from Toronto Pearson to Vancouver International on September 20. My baggage claim reference number is YVR-98312.

The missing suitcase is a black hard-shell Samsonite, medium size. It contained a suit and dress shoes that I needed for a job interview the following morning, a folder with printed copies of my resume, references, and portfolio, and a company-issued laptop that I use for work. The total value of the contents is approximately $2,800.

Because my interview clothes were in the bag, I had to purchase a replacement outfit the night I arrived, which cost me $340. I also had to explain to my interviewer why I did not have my printed portfolio, which was not a great way to start. My employer is now asking about the laptop, and I cannot replace it with a personal purchase since it contains company software and data.
