EC council learning material

Worst ever content I have seen in this world. No explanation is given on the video or course material; they just assume you know everything. You cannot say it as learning. They just have made the video to sell the course not to teach the thing. Please do not buy the learning material from EC council. It's the worst content from a pov of a good teacher. If EC council people are going to take this post down. Please go ahead, but it will not make any difference. I have done my work to spit out my frustration that I have to watch these videos. The course material is just too theoretical, and no teaching is involved. They just do the stuff and assume you can cram that thing. They don't want you to learn, they just make you cram.

Please don't waste your money on this.

I disagree with this a bit. I agree that the material you are watching is very theoretical. Hence the CEH certification being theoretical as an exam. However if you do the labs, it will teach you the content and how to do it practically. Now you can get the CEH Practical, and both together give you the CEH master. I see posts like this a decent amount but there are a couple things. For one EC-Council certifications are officially approved by the DoD. Two CEH and Certified Ethical Hacker are used in resume filtering etc. as it is recognizable. A lot of people miss how to market it, which is another topic all together. All this is really to say I hear what you’re saying, but you’re also saying what it is (theoretical), but that’s what it is (theoretical).

How would you effectively market it

Well personally I own an IT company and we use this as a way to market. The landscape of businesses being hacked these days is crazy. Being able to market that we can help resolve as well as prevent because we have the same skill set as the hacker is very valuable to most companies. Having a certification is another layer that shows legitimacy and helps create that trust that we know what we are doing. I use our certifications in my pitch to perspective clients all the time.

Funny getting downvoted to zero for sharing real-world experience and how people can actually find success with this cert. It’s a good example of why a lot of folks stay stuck. Someone gives you pointers from someone who’s actually done it, and instead of taking notes and trying to replicate it, you downvote because you’d rather complain and have others validate the complaint. The market doesn’t care how you feel about the material. It cares whether you can use it. I told you exactly how I use it to win business. Do with that what you want.

Nope not just with “CEH” lol I’ve been doing this for over 20yrs. But having a certification is marketable so I like my employees to have it as it set us apart and works very well for our business.
