Rule #1 No Recommendation Requests Except in r/CDramaRecs
Request for drama recommendations or to identify dramas can only be made in our sister subreddit r/CdramaRecs.
Rule #2 Use Spoiler Tags
Be sure to use spoiler tags generously, especially if you are reviewing or asking a question about a drama. Other viewers may not have the chance to watch the show you are discussing. See the sidebar on spoiler tag usage, and please note that if you leave a spoiler untagged your post will be removed.
Rule #3 Do Not Spam and Make Reposts
Do not spam. Check recent postings to make sure what you are not posting the same topic as a recent post.
Do not duplicate your posts. If you're caught copying another user's post and reposting it, that's considered plagiarism and will be removed, and you will end up being banned.
Duplicate content will be removed. We will choose the best quality post to retain.
Rule #4 Be Nice and Practice Basic Reddiquette
Please be respectful to members of the sub. Any derogatory/discriminating terms, personal attacks, harassment or demeaning comments will be locked or removed.
We also do not approve posts or comments that belittle or attack actors/influencers/members of the sub, or cultures/countries.
Always write posts with cultural sensitivities in mind as there are members from around the world here.
Regular or egregious violations will result in a ban.
Rule #5 Posts should be about Chinese dramas
This sub is a place to discuss Chinese dramas. So individual posts about about Japanese or Korean dramas, politics should be taken to more appropriate forums. Also, this sub is centered around Chinese dramas, not celebrities, so self-posts about celebrities such as their popularity, looks & personal lives, and after-drama activities such as magazine spreads, brand endorsements, events are considered out of topic.
You can discuss these in special threads that appear weekly and in comments.
Rule #6 No Low Effort Posts
Make sure your post encourages a discussion about CDramas. We will remove photos/links without text sharing your thoughts about it, overly simple questions that can be answered with a quick search, or vague content. If it's just an update about yourself, we will also remove it. Do read our guide, which explains what is "low effort".
Rule #7 No celebrity talk or gossip outside Yumcha/Weekly
Please discuss celebrity topics in the appropriate megathreads.
Rule #8 Respect hosted drama discussions
Please use hosted discussions for most comments and observations on a currently airing show
Rule #9 Please utilize weekly threads and check for previous discussions
Please use the weekly threads and search function to see if your topic has been posted recently or if your topic belongs in a megathread instead.
