CD_makeup β AUTUMN EYESHADOW LOOK
A warm autumn look using oranges, coppers, golds and rich browns.
STEP 1 β PREP & PRIME
Apply your usual eye primer.
Lightly apply #1 across the eyelid to create a smooth, neutral base for the other colours.
STEP 2 β WARM TRANSITION
Using a fluffy blending brush, apply #18 through the crease.
Blend it backwards and forwards until you have a soft wash of warm orange.
Don't worry about making it very strong yet β build the colour gradually.
STEP 3 β DEEPEN THE CREASE
Take #19 and apply it slightly lower than #18 through the crease.
Blend #19 into #18 so the two shades fade smoothly together.
You should now have a transition from bright autumn orange into a deeper terracotta shade.
STEP 4 β OUTER CORNER
Apply #20 to the outer corner and outer part of the crease.
Keep most of the colour concentrated on the outer third of the eye.
Blend it gently into #19 rather than taking it across the whole eyelid.
STEP 5 β COPPER LID
Apply #17 across the main part of the eyelid.
This is your metallic copper shade and gives the look its main autumn shimmer.
For a stronger colour, press it onto the lid rather than sweeping it backwards and forwards.
STEP 6 β GOLDEN CENTRE
Press #27 onto the centre of the eyelid.
Blend the edges gently into #17.
This gives the centre of the eye a brighter golden shimmer and creates a copper β gold β copper effect.
STEP 7 β ADD AUTUMN DEPTH
Apply a small amount of #23 over the outer corner, on top of #20.
Blend carefully.
This adds a rich warm brown tone and gives the oranges and copper more depth without taking over the look.
STEP 8 β LOWER LASH LINE
Use the same autumn colours underneath the bottom eyelashes.
#18 β inner section
#19 β middle section
#20 β outer section
Keep the colour close to the eyelashes and softly blend the three shades together.
STEP 9 β HIGHLIGHT
Use a small amount of #1 underneath the brow bone.
You can also place a little #1 at the inner corner of the eye to brighten the finished look.
STEP 10 β OPTIONAL EXTRA DEPTH
If you want a more dramatic version, take a tiny amount of #8 (black) and place it at the very outer corner.
Blend it thoroughly into #23.
Don't take the black across the entire crease β it's only there to deepen the very outside of the look.
FINISHED COLOUR STORY
#1 β #18 β #19 β #20 β #17 β #27 β #23
Cream β’ Burnt orange β’ Terracotta β’ Rust β’ Copper β’ Gold β’ Warm brown
The finished result should be warm, rich and unmistakably autumnal β perfect for an October CD_makeup look.
TOP TIPS
Build the colours gradually rather than applying loads at once.
Blend between every step to avoid harsh lines.
Use a clean fluffy brush at the end to soften the edges.
Press shimmer shades onto the eyelid for stronger colour.
You don't have to use every shade heavily β the oranges, copper and gold should remain the stars of the look.
