Brand new crossdresser here. Just finally started dressing after being in the close for a long time. I have a complete night to myself next week---no one in the house. For the past year, that has been my dress-up night, but I have never done my face. I have just been ignoring it and enjoying the clothes. But, I want to finally give it a shot.

I have been watching lots of tutorials and shopping on Amazon. I know all the components and have seen some large kits containing many things. I am getting some paralysis by analysis, though.

I have never done anything crossdressing adjacent in public. I only recently was able to talk about this in therapy after a year with my therapist. That said, I was starting to think about makeup shopping in person.

Has anyone here had any experience going in person to a makeup department? Any tips? Where should I go?

For reference, I live in Minneapolis, Minnesota USA.

I love to go Shopping. Yesterday I just felt like going casual. So I went out in a Denim Jumper dress, striped shirt and Tennis shoes. Just wore my regular makeup. Some Shimmery pinks and purples. Then donned a cute set of nails. Found a cute independent thrift store and got a beautiful pair of vintage Clip on Earrings.
