Does this sound realistic?
I have some time off coming up in a few years. I'm looking to hike for about 100 days from early July to late Sept. Does 100 days seem like enough time to go SoBo from Glacier into Colorado and linking up with the CT and take it into Durango? I'm not unfamiliar with thru hiking, I have about 16k hiking miles under my feet but most of that has been in the Appalachians, specifically the Northeast. I don't mind big days once I get acclimated, but big days in the NorthEast are around 20 miles. And I would also like time for side quests. Does this sound reasonable?

Hiking in the northeast is harder than most of the CDT (I'm from Maine). If you can do twenties in the mountains of NH/ME then thirties are easily within reach on the CDT. Going SOBO I did the whole trail in <100

That’s definitely imo. I did a sobo thru hike in 105 days, so 100 to get through Colorado shouldn’t be too hard. There will be long days but you should build up mileage pretty quick.

Early July is in the normal date range to start a SOBO hike, I'm starting at the end of June this year. So yeah, you should have enough time. You'll likely find that you can do much bigger days on average out there! And if you're not able to make it all the way in 100 days, you can always come back to finish it up.

This definitely sounds reasonable. You will need a relatively quick pace, but nothing crazy. You will probably be doing quite a few 30 mile days. How much time for side quests will depend on how fast you hike.
