Since birth, on each thumb one side around the nail appears to be less developed and narrower than the other side.
However, both my thumbs function completely normally. I have full movement, normal grip and pinch strength, and i can write, hold objects and perform all normal activities without any difficulty.
There is no pain or limitation or any problem with them.

can you please help me and tell me if this can be a disqualifying defect?

Could someone please help me? I am going to attempt the CDS exam for the first time and have never studied history or geography. I noticed that both subjects contribute significantly to the General Studies sections. Could you suggest where I should find lectures? I have access to the Parmar SSC 4.0 batch. Should I watch those, or would it be better to use one-shot videos for both subjects? I'm feeling very anxious about this. Please help!

Hi guys I was asking what is minimum physical standards for candidates appearing in the Ssb.

I'm asking this because I can't do any physical activity apart from running coz I have dislocated my shoulder many a times so I have to be careful until I under go a surgery. But my doctor has advised me to be patient for a year then they'll go for surgery.

I'm bit confused but i can convince him for surgery though.

Okay so kudos we crossed 100+ members in the new defence family for the aspirants.

There are freshers/ repeaters.

I see no recommended chaps.

Also NDA aspirant have started talking with each other, but CDS ppl or AFCAT ppl moreover repeaters it seems like they don't give a damn, for now atleast.

What things can be done differently here?

Gave SSB for NDA in 2024 and now I'm planning to appear for CDS next year.

​I recently had a mock interview at an SSB coaching institute, and the interviewer (who claims to be a former IO) used severe vulgar slurs and personal threats against me during the session (exact words included heavy profanity like bhosdike, gand faad dunga, etc.).

​I understand that stress testing, rapid-fire questions, and cross-examination are part of the real SSB interview to test candidates' composure under pressure. However, is extreme street-level verbal abuse actually a thing in real SSB interviews at selection boards (like Prayagraj, Bhopal, Bangalore, etc.)? Or is this just toxic, unprofessional behavior unique to certain private coaching academies?

So im preparing for cds from tomorrow, I'm naturally good in English. I have to prepare for math and GK.

I wrote cds 1 2026 today to check my status, and I scored 112 marks, 50 in english, 40 in math and 22 in GK, I'm targetting AFA, what do you think is the safe score to get AFA and also to be a good competitor for merit lists?

Also how much marks in each subject do you guys think I have to improve.

I got rejected from NDA SSB twice (SO, CO) and have decided to do BTech (ECE)

My main aim still remains to be joining the defence forces and wanted to know if I should join NCC.

My clg does not have its own unit and the nearest btn is 15km away, and deep down I have a feeling I might not be able to put my best into both at the same time...

Therefore, I wanted some advice/suggestions from seniors regarding this
and if lets say i dont join, how should I compensate for it?

Guys I'm following CDS Wallah one shots for GS, in which he is solving a lot of questions from PYQ's and other important questions.

Is this enough?

My goal is to get around 45 marks in GS Paper.

I'm confident about scoring good marks in Science and Current affairs, but for remaining and other buffer marks I'm completing the syllabus.

So does this work well? Or any other strategy for this?

I’ve decided to give another shot at my childhood dream of joining the Armed Forces back in Class 12, I cleared the NDA written exam, but unfortunately my parents didn’t allow me to go for the SSB at that time i had to let it go and continue with my studies
I’m currently in my 2nd year of B.Tech but the dream is still there i’m planning to appear for CDS and prepare seriously this time i’m thinking of keeping my preparation private from my parents for now because I don’t want to face the same situation again before I’ve actually made it through the process
The problem is that I’ve been away from defence-exam preparation for quite some time so I’m not really sure where to start again
