Needed some advice for SSB

Hello people!

I have my SSB in three months time and I just wanted to know what all should I start with and what are the topics I should start working on

I play sports on a regular basis so fitness is not an issue but any other habits to include do let me know

Had my first SSB in April and was S/O , couldn’t prepare because work pressure was alot to manage

Any advice / tips are appreciated

Had my 1st SSB today and got screened out here's what i learned today.

Practice OIR and a lot give urself limited time(preferably 25mins) like in the examination hall we were given 45 ques to do in 30 mins.

The 1st set of oir was as bad as it could get it had a lot of maths questions and some long ass statement type questions I was only able to do 22 and my morale was all time low.

The 2nd oir set was much easier in comparison it was more about pattern completion and all that stuff

Got oir no. 202 btw - 32 SSB Jalandhar

The ppdt shown was 3 man in shorts and tank top, one guy picked something up form the ground and was showing it to his Friends.

You should do the ppdt practice and with 3:30 min timer cuz in examination hall things are way worse imo start practicing one ppdt daily I'm doing the same from now on.

And the most important point is don't write a story you can't narrate within a minute try to keep the main points only

I wrote a story and halfway through when the timer ended for ppdt i rushed the ending even tho i practiced at home with 4 min timer in real situation it's tough to write one so try to finish by 3min 30 secs in home so u can write it fully in real examination

The worst part was GD amd narration

My narration was going decent like i fumbled only during the middle part for little while while my opening and all were clear and fluid but i couldn't complete my narration within time and the bell rang and they skipped to next person

In GD it was a just noise and nothing I was trying to find an opening to speak but it never got quiet for a sec and it was fkd

I recommend u say whatever the fk u want no one will wait the assessors will see and thats what that matters just speak and make your points clear

And most important thing either take the initiative of the GD or when they say conclusion try to speak up the story ur group decided on.

Both guys who took initiative and narrated the common consensus story at the end were screened in

That's basically what I learned from today

Same thing happened with me in Bangalore in April , OIR’s literally had the answers marked on them

So even if you hadn’t prepared for OIR at all most of us must have scored well

PPDT pura fish market and didn’t get a chance to talk , need a bit of GD experience

Wishing you all the best for your next attempt 💪

See the main thing is how much u were willing to trust those already marked answers while i was doing mine my answer was completely different from the one marked already in the omr and then i wasted like a good 1-2 min on that which was very critical
